Bigtime Design Studios reimagined the guestrooms at Postcard Inn Beach Resort in Islamorada, Florida, blending nostalgic Americana with modern boutique hotel sensibilities for The Carlyle Group. Each room captures a breezy “boathouse chic” aesthetic, with driftwood-style tile floors, rustic handcrafted furnishings, and playful details like nautical artwork and hand-painted literary quotes.

Drawing from the resort’s 1960s fishing heritage, the design incorporates reclaimed materials, custom fixtures, and a palette of sea-glass blues, sandy neutrals, and crisp whites. Natural textures and ample sunlight foster a serene, sun-soaked atmosphere that feels both retro and refined. Guest comfort is elevated through contemporary amenities including 49” LED TVs, Keurig coffee makers, and integrated smart technology.

Bigtime’s design approach seamlessly connects interior spaces with the resort’s lush, tropical surroundings, delivering an immersive experience that celebrates the spirit of the Florida Keys.
