The legendary Irish pub has been redesigned by the award-winning Bigtime Design Studios company. The 7,000-square-foot, two-story venue pays tribute to the original John Martin’s, while creating a welcoming, familiar, and contemporary atmosphere.

The local redevelopment melds the old with the new, showcasing the building’s original woodwork and architectural elements, as well as eclectic period furnishings repurposed for contemporary socializing.
“Our task was to make it easy for customers to recognize the original JohnMartin’s, while also offering a completely new and timeless look that sets it apart from any other Irish pub customers have seen,” said the Bigtime Design Studios designer, Callin Fortis.
Upon entering, patrons are transported to a lofty Irish pub steeped in nostalgia yet contemporary. The high ceilings evoke a sense of tradition, brought into the present with white paint and red accents, and the floors are white and green mosaic tiles, giving the space a luxurious and timeless feel.
Inside, there is a large bar with a black-painted wainscoting and a shiny white quartz countertop, with brass and navy blue upholstered stools. Along the back wall, antique mirrors and a historic centerpiece from the original woodwork fondly recall the venue’s previous incarnation. Next to the bar is a small stage for live performances, a new addition, made of light wood.
One of the most impressive innovations is the creation of a 34-seat interior garden, designed with a skylight that spans the entire ceiling, allowing sunlight to penetrate the room and into a 50-seat dining room.
At the back of the premises, a small dart room with an exposed brick wall painted in the colors of the Irish flag offers a place for fun and games. On the top floor, the renovated venue features a new private dining room with its own bar and restrooms.
